Introducing Roseman University CODM’s pre-dental liaison’s! “I wanted to be a pre dental liaison because I wanted to help out other predental students and hype them up. During my time as a predental student I felt like dental school was near impossible. But I was given advice by dental students that helped me see that I was doing great and on the right path. This was huge for me and it’s now my goal as a predental liaison to do the same to current predental students.“

Roseman ADEA’s Sim and Application/Interview Prep course is back! August 10 & 11 at Roseman in South Jordan, UT. Two full days of interacting with Roseman students and faculty around relevant dental lab, pre-clinical, dexterity, and interviewing activities! You will work in Roseman-model teams with other pre-dental students across the weekend. Predicting what questions your interviewer may ask and rehearsing your answers is a great way to be more prepared for a dental school interview. We asked current students to answer common questions that are asked at dental school interviews to help our pre-dents brainstorm their own answers! Question: How did you prepare interview day? Response: @soniasabu03 “As preparation for interview day, I made sure to do research about the school. Understanding the mission and values of the school, and how those values align with you as a person are vital. I also prepared by practicing my answers to common questions. Practicing will make you more confident on interview day!”

Response: @abbyewarner “During my interview, I brought up the research I did on my state’s local frog population, and I was lucky enough to have a faculty interviewer who did her undergraduate research on turkeys! In addition, I talked about how working at an orthodontist’s office helped me become proficient in taking iTero scans, which will help me become successful as dentistry becomes more reliant on technology. My best advice is to find something in common with your interviewer and talk about that!”
